Photographer’s Note
Going on with the trip in south Burgundy. After the very pretty small perched village of Brancion, here is the nice castle of cormatin. Only the weather remains really gloomy.
Note from the internet:
Renaissance style Construction: XVIIème S.
It's history: It was built in 1605 for the marquis d' Huxelles on the square plan and the ditches of a fortress médièvale. With XXème S., Raoul Gunzbourg, previous director of the Monte Carlo opera, organized many concerts there.
Today, Marc Simonet-Lenglart and Pierre Almendros, impassioned restoration, are the lords of the manor.
Description: This castle has an apartment Louis XII going back to 1628 and 5 richly decorated rooms. It has a park of 12 ha with flowered floors, large boxwood labyrinth and kitchen garden to old.

Jeanmarc the architecture found in France is beautiful in any way. The building is well located to give way to the nicely manicured gardens. In Canada this type of architecture is found in Quebec but not as many as in France. Colours and exposure well done. Thanks.
Roberto
