Photographer’s Note
Views of architecture details must be very rare in my gallery if at all existing, so time to fill that gap with this photo of a small roof that can be seen in Beaune in the french region Burgundy.
It's a simple city house not able to match the other worthwhile buildings to be found in this city in the heart of famous vineyards, but I just found nice how the owners tried to match the roof triangle with the flowers.

Salut JY,

Bonne nuit!

What a beautiful windown! Very graphical. The people who own this house must have good taste! Excellent capture!

Great detail shot of this window and roof. I just left a comment for someone else where I said that I would like to see more close-ups of architectural details on TE, and then I see this! I think that these details are just as important for giving a sense of what a place is like as the classic shot of the whole building does. The triangle of flower pots is a very nice touch, and shows that someone is really thinking. Good eye to spot this!

Hi JY,
an interesting detail of architecture. Is this a typical kind of window for the region? Looks beautiful in any case.

Hi Jean-Yves. Yes this is most different for you. The colors seem realistic and the flowers certainly do add a lot. I might have played with the POV a bit though. Nice shot Jean-Yves.

Bon week-end.
Amicalement. Christian

Salut Jean Yves
I like the tight framing, & repetition of the red shingles, which give the image a mosaic quality. Excellent color, sharpness, & lighting. C'est bon travail. Amites

Hello Jean Yves,
A+

Looks like the same window. Yours was taken in 2002, mine in 2003.
Best,

Salut Jean Yves,
windows and doors are my favorite subjects, especially in France. The person who owns this house has taken some time to match the shape of the flowers to the shape of the window cover. It doesn't look like the sun was shining that day but still a lovely composition.
Cordialement
Stephen
