It was a cold night (-21C) but it was sure worth it for the spectacular view.

Dear Roie,
I can only imagine getting a capture like this, it is simply stunning. How do you set up for an exposure like this, truely magical. The balance is wonderful, the snow foreground through to the night shot of the city and then on to the Aurora Borealis is magnificent. You even have stars in the shot, amazing.
Just a wonderful image.

Hello,

It is really something I would like to live and photography one day. Good to have included the town in the frame, but there is perhaps a too much snow foreground. What do you think a about a cropping in panorama?

Hello Roie,

You manage to take a pretty photo of this amazing natural effect. Green colors in the sky are really well taken.
Maybe the city lights are a little bit burned, but that's not disturbing.

Hi Roie,

A magic view on northern lights. I specially appreciate that we can admire in same time this natural phenomenon, and the city lights. I thought it needed to be completely dark around to see auroras! And, as Isabella, wish to see it myself at least once in my life! The POV here is excellent, with the trees in shadows, the city below and even some stars.

Very amazing natural phenomeno... the foreground (silhoutte of the tree)and the city light is perfect. Suggest to crop at down side to remove part of empty area.

Hello,
Waow, amazing photo of this aurora ! Its "shape" is beautiful ! I like the shadow of the trees on foreground. I think a crop of a part of the snow area could be great too, to concentrate on the aurora and have a panoramic size. Just an opinion ;)
But anyway, just wonderful !

Hi Roie,
Superbly bright northern lights. Beautiful green tone and good interaction with city lights. I like how the lights make a curve above the town. It's also good that white snow gives light to foreground too.
