A fine shot taken under difficult light conditions. But seeing all the detail that you held in the image and the softness in the snow i must admit you did an excellent job here. Placing the tree a bit to the right which gives us a very nice view to the background...wonderful.

Hi Bob,
Beautiful shot of Finnish winter with low Northern light. The spruce is well chosen as the main focal point on the sparse growth of trees up there. Very calm and cool atmosphere.

Hi Bob,

After your kind words on the forum about New Year's resolutions, I off course had to see whether you're a Canon guy or a Nikonian ;-).
And the funny thing here is that you can produce such an excellent photograph with a simple point and shoot. I normally use the D200, but made some very nice ones with my ultra-small Panasonic LX-2 point and shoot. Will be funny to see if we get another Canon - Nikon discussion on that forum now hahaha ;-). Thanks for sharing this one!

I hope you had a nice Christmas and Boxing Day. This is a nice Christmas card image. Using your P&S to capture this scene was well done. I like the composition with the main tree just off center and the soft and colorful light filling the BG. The PP has brought out some of the details without causing noise and other distracting elements. Well seen and well handled.
