Elevated as it is in Senate Square, Engel's neo-classical cathedral is visible from much of the central area of the city, and from its base there are fine views of the harbour, but the detail of this iconic building seen up close with a brilliant Nordic blue sky as background is inspiring too.

Welcome to TrekEarth! I like your upward view and tight crop of the cathedral. The white and gold really stand out against the clear, blue sky. There is a nice selection of details in this photo: the domes, the clock, one of the statues, etc. It's a lovely first photo. Have fun here!

Très belle prise de vue en contre-plongée de cette cathédrale d'un blanc immaculé sur fond de ciel bleu. Netteté excellente qui permet de bien voir les détails. Bravo.

Hello William and welcome to TrekEarth !
I like your framing, the close-up permits to see nice architectural details and adds some graphism. The immaculate white contrasts well with the deep blue sky.
Good job !

It is a wonderful close-up shot of this famous cathedral. I'm sure every visitor to Helsinki has taken some photos of it, but this certainly shows your own vision. I like the powerful white and blue colours on this, the same ones as in Finnish flag.
Welcome to TE!
