These two new high rise buildings are visible from my kitchen window. With dark walls, I think they are incredibly ugly.
But one morning I saw this surprise. Rising sun painted clouds on eastern sky red. And they were reflected from balcony glasses of these buildings for a short and rare moment. Glass covered balconies are distinctively Nordic feature. Climate is the reason of course.

wow,it looks almost apocalyptic, like the coming of the Armageddon. The sunrise must heve been really spectacular.I like your creative approach to this topic and the fact, you did not take the sunrise itself, just decided to show us its reflected part.I love also the combination of warm tones of the sun with cold, blue sky-superb juxtaposition!
Have a nice weekend

Ciao e buon fine settimana

Fleeting moment beautifully captured. You made great use of this opportunity as you say it didn't last long. Excellent contrast management and amazing colours.

The red sunrise light add very beautiful reflections in the two highrises. The dark blue background sky in the perfect complement. But it looks very cold!

well, I can honestly say that we don't get to see very many highrise photos from Finland!!! :)
but you have certainly captured them here are the right time didn't you.
probably not so good looking in the daytime but with the orange red glow it stands out extremely well.
enjoy your day

hehehe what a great title, and as you say, these apartments are not all that attractive. But lit up like that from the sun, they seem to have turned into fairy princesses! The other thing that just blows me away is the thick snow on the rooftops, fascinating that the roofs can withstand that weight but also they make another attractive element.
Thanks for sharing, have a great day

I enjoyed its title too!
