Classic style cross-country skiing on the lake Suolijärvi. Winter weather is perfect, but temperature rising above zero means that winter sports season will be soon over.

Greetings Kari,

This is a well composed and implemented shot, with the colorful outfits worn by the cross country skiers, set against the white background. I've never done cross country skiing, but I imagine the sheer calisthenics of a lifelong skier would keep him healthy. What a workout. Apparently, the worn ruts of earlier skiers become the tracks to follow. Thanks for the 'slice of daily life' shot in the far north.

Hi Kari,

What a beautiful winter days. and perfect for cross country skiing. I tried that a couple of time but never got use to it. It take some effort to get to the mountain to do it :)

Anyway, a good shot this one, the color and light are just perfect.
