Vanha Kirkko (The Old Church) of Tampere with the belfry during snowy winter afternoon.
This is a colour shot without toning. Sepia hues come from street illumination. Shot with ISO 800. I needed to use reasonably fast exposure to show the snowflakes.

Hyvää uuttaa vuottaa !
If only we could get a bit of that white magic powder, we had green xmas here :-( Good rendering of the conditions, next upload the day after under that fine northern blue sky ?
Have a nice day JY

Quite good Kari,
I like it a lot, both for the fine and well balanced composition with the bell tower at the right and the street lamp to the left and for the lovely stripes of the snowing. The warm browinish colours give a charming atmospshere. It's a photo which looks immediately "comme il faut", neat and with every detail at its proper place.

and happy new year.
Terrific exposure here to capture the falling snow at only 800 ISO. The image is pretty good quality and certainly not affected by noise. So atmospheric. And there is good balance between the lamps and the clock-tower on one side. Nice work.

Visually, it is not the most pleasing image, but it really depict the real weather condition so well, I got chill just looking at it. I can almost fell the snow hitting on my face. That is not easy to do, especailly in the night with this low light. Really good job here. My complements.

Interesting, faithful image of winter over there.
Greetings from cold Portugal (today min.+4ºC, max.+11º in Lisbon; that's what we call a cold winter day).

Hello Kari! This is when you want to stay inside and watch the snow fall from your window but once you have your boots on and step outside it is nice to feel the snow on your face and if you walk fast you even get warm. I really love this shot, a true winter night, we should appreciate the Seasons more, such a treat to get the different weather conditions. Well done!!! All the best from Unterwasser, it LOOKS ice-cold outside, -7°C ... Barbara.
