Hello Kari! This looks like a lot of fun! How nice, you somehow just step out of your house and here we go, a whole lake of ice and pleasure. Very nice how you have them in your picture, they seem to enjoy their afternoon. Yeah a scene full of joy and as I see your winter is still very much winter, even in early March you can skate on your lakes. Best regards, Barbara.

Hi Kari,
I like this winter scene a lot, the dynamic through the movement of the peolpe, the strong contrast between the colourful closses and the white landscape, the family atmosphere ... great job!
Have a nice day

Hello Kari,
I like this daily life shot. I've never been to Finland, but this strikes me as the kind of scene I'd expect to find there. A nice family shot, with lots of simple happiness in it. Thanks.

Hi Kari,
I keep trying to relive Australia and you keep distracting me with perfect winter scenes like these; the curving track, the three people arranged by height, the action positions of the feet and the red gear for contrast.
Could it be too cold to snow? I don't think we get ice anything like this. What we do have is the Cascade Mountain range which captures the clouds right off the ocean. The coast mountains get the most snow but it doesn't last as long - it's wetter. The snowfall decreases as it goes inland, Aspen (in the Rockies) often had only 30"/66 cm, but it would stay perfect for weeks on end.

Hi Kari, wow look at that snow. A great picture of family life in Finland you have given us. It is a picture that does not really change even in extremes of heat and cold. But is beautiful and poignant nonetheless. TFS, Lisa.

Good evening Kari
I love those winter scenes. Bright and crispy, you can feel the cold. Excellent framing with the curve of the track creating a nice perspective and the side light creates nice shadows. That red and pink on the white is really attractive
Have a good evening and TFS

Hello Kari,
A fine atmosphere on the lake!
Some time back I too found skating to be great fun, but later on skiing became more interesting, maybe also because outdoor skating opportunities became very rare...
This is a fine capture with great colours, conveying the mood very well!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hei Kari,
There has been a few sunny days even this winter. A nice shot with a good composition and a lovely winter atmosphere. The skating family on the foreground, the curving skating path and the people on the background form a balanced composition.

Lasse
