Photographer’s Note

This might be the first picture taken with my (then) brand new camera that is worth saving for. It is taken the second day of my ownership and seems to be the 100th picture. I merely resized the photo, other than that it is just like the camera chose to save it.

The landmark in the horizon is the observation tower "Näsinneula" which is about 9 kilometers (5,6 miles) away from Hikivuori (Sweat Hill) where I took the picture. Hikivuori is situated in Tampere, in a suburb called Annala. Hikivuori is a worn part of an ancient ridge that used to be between Pyhäjärvi-Iidesjärvi-Kaukajärvi.

The buildings are situated in Kaukajärvi, one of Tampere's oldest suburbs. The first apartment buildings were constructed in 1965 (not in this picture). Its name comes from the nearby lake. The old pine tree is easy to identify, it is one kilometer away near the church community center.
