Photographer’s Note

Finland is famous for all the lakes, this is one of the largest, Päijänne. I was walking along the shore when I saw these Finnish children happily playing in the water.

This is in Rutalahti, south of Jyväskylä, in central Finland.

The photo was taken a long time ago and scanned from a negative.

What a nice picture. This is really summer. Nice kids too. With old pictures like this I always ask myself whatever happened to these children. They must be almost middle-aged by now, busy with their professional careers. A strange feeling.
