Photographer’s Note

Shot at 06:04 in the morning in Nuuksio national park close to Högbacka.
Probably the most typical kind of Finnish forest that one can imagine. I guess only about 1-2% of forests in southern Finland are in their natural state - all the rest is grown only for the needs of paper and wood industry.
Large areas of Nuuksio national park have only recently been incorporated into national park and still look like typical industrial forest - just like this in photo. Maybe - if nature is left to take care of it´s own business - this forest too will take a wilder and more natural appearance after some 30-50 years.
