Photographer’s Note
Engine number 5 was built in 1917 by Tampereen Pellava- ja Rautateollisuus Oy. The engine was originally used on the railway between Hyvinkää and Karkkila and was later transferred to Jokioinen Museum Railway. This 2-8-2T tank engine was fully restaured in 1979-1981. It uses birch logs as fuel.

Hi Kari,
I love it, Puffing Billy rides again.
I like the two men with their engine driver's hats.
Superb quality, as sharp as a pin and the colour rendition is fantastic.
Great shot, tfs.

Hi Kari,
this is a wonderful image that shows the joy and the enthusiasm of the two train men so well. I would like to see them in action on the engine! It is excellently composed with the engine filling the frame. Great colors and light! My compliments!
Warm regards

Fuelled by logs! That's new to me. Very good daily life shot showing the action. The timing is good as both men are occupied.

Charming capture of the old engine filling up with wood Kari.
Good to see that they are kept alive to bring back memories of a long gone time. Good details around the engine here.
