Photographer’s Note

Not far from the Fiskarsinmäki hill, which I showed you in the previous photo runs the longest river of Espoo, Mankinjoki. It is not a broad one even near the estuary here and it is even narrower and shallower in its rapids section, about 2.5 kilometres upstream. I have showed you earlier the river rapids here and here.

This part of the river is popular among anglers. I met only one angler though, when he was returning to his car. No catch for him this time. The river has at least perches, breams and roaches. Catch or not, he enjoyed the carpets of wood anemones as much as myself and told me that he must return with a camera. I had one with me. :-)

Hello Lasse,
:) this view made me smile - maybe because of the mood created by the sunny day and this road with anemones along it.
Perhaps, if I were you, I would even try VERY low POV to capture the anemones close to the road and with high trees around. Well, just as an experiment... :)

Hallo Lasse!
That's interesting - and most beautiful! You show us a wonderful spring photo with anemones, even if it was taken two weeks ago, and here yesterday we have had 32°C. The anemones here already have "pulled in" their leaves.
This path truly is inviting and this sunlit forest creates a really springlike atmosphere. A scenery "to dream into ..."

Joyful and also beautiful! It's interesting to see that the Spring arrived earlier below than to the top of the trees, although we can see that there are already some tiny green leaves. Very nice POV, light and colours.

Hello Lasse,

A beautiful flowered alley which seems go far and to allow us to go for a pretty walk. The light was ideal this day to emphasize these carpets of white flowers. The natural colors are very pleasant. Thank you Lasse for this moment of relaxation in my work office…

Hej Lasse,
You posted this picture the same day I went to Greece for vacations. How impossible to catch up with TE after three weeks!
This is a great example of Nordic beauty. These anemones have created a fantastic carpet and there is a very fine light shining on them through the still almost naked trees. I imagine this place looks quite different today.
