Photographer’s Note

I took this photo from the new sea museum in the city of Kotka. The Museum opened in 11th July 2008 and it's 300 meters long strange looking building in the middle of a harbor.

Even this architecture is not my 'cup of tea" , your picture is a really good one . I like a lot the contrasts of colors and lights , and the beeautifull lines : the yellow and blue "V" is very nice .

very interesting perspective! Excellent light and sharpness. I have been to Kotka several times in the seventies and I remember the really impressive harbour. TfS!

Absolutely photogenic corner and you used it well Eino! We could now nit pick about different part of the day (and light) or position of the persons, but you did great with composing the lines here, I like it a lot!

Its nearly a perfect shot Eino.
Straight to mine favourites.............
What an obsevation of the sun light falling on the wall.
You have categorised it as an architecture, but it seems to me,a shot of decisive moment too.
Its a wonder, that the colours look so soothing.

awesome!! great graphical work here, very balanced, the lines and the lighting are wonderful! I love the colors, great contrast between the greens and the light blue, plus the fact that the two people were wearing the same colors in the picture, amazing! simply fantastic!!! well captured!

hello Eino,
I agree with Marija that different time of the day might give less harsh light, but then again, right now the light really brings out the lime yellow/green colours, and I quite like it. the perspective is fascinating, and I think the people are just in the right place to add emphasis for all those lines. excellent work, my compliments.

A fine though and execution. Nice symmetry to it, and a good composition. The contrast between the green and the blue is a also a good thing, and there are also some contrasts between the light and shadows. Thanks for sharing.

The colours and the tones in this one are vibrant and stunning. I like the way you have handled the lights and the minimalist designs. great composition and well spotted with superb sue of the lights

Hello Eino, It is the vivid colours & light that makes this shot very appealing, The strip of blue sky contrasts very well against the different shades of green, the inclusion of people a good idea especially as they are wearing the same colour tops as their surroundings.
A very beautiful eye catching image.
