Photographer’s Note
A house on the banks of Langinkoski Rapids, Kotka, South-Eastern Finland.
The Langinkoski Imperial Fishing Lodge was built in 1889 on the bank of the picturesque Langinkoski rapids close to Kotka. The Russian czar Alexander III, Grand Duke of Finland, visited Langinkoski and had a pine lodge built for him so that his guests could come here and fish for salmon in the rapids. For political reasons, the czar could only spend a few summers in Langinkoski, but today visitors can fish for salmon in the same place. The lodge is located 5 km from the centre of Kotka in the nature reserve of Langinkoski.

Ruta,
This is a nice low light photo. The reflection of the lights on the frozen river makes for an excellent shot. I think you could crop out some of the lower area of the photo to balance it a little better.

Hi Ruta,
Nice shot. Good management of the existing light. I like the reflection on water and the POV you chose. IMO, the lower darker part of the shot should be cropped a bit.
Nice job!
Quentin.
