NJK's yacht club restaurant is located on an island right outside Helsinki and it's a popular, international summer season restaurant. The beautiful main building dates back to the year 1900 and, naturally, view over the sea is available all around.
In winter however, the restaurant is closed and no yachts are parked near it..
The image was taken from the top deck of a ferry going to Stockholm, the cracked ice all around is due to ships moving in and out of the port.

Very nice image, and the place also. The composition is good, and the whole image gives an idea of loneliness.. with infinite surface of ice and snow all around.

Serwus Shir !
You certainly had a great viewpoint on this ferry :)
I'm impressed by this well carried composition. All its elements fit well in the frame and i love the white -pinkish tones. Clarity is also wonderful.

wow shir...this is some piece of work. the light is perfect, and the position from where you took it gives so much to it. i never thought that the villa looks so nice. to be hones i think it appears much better in winter than in summer. oh yes, i forgot the ice. it is tremendous. the dynamics of the cracks fills in nicely the uniformity of white color. phenomenal work!!! Humouros indeed, Shir! I like the high POV here, the pattern of the broken ice (returns me to Perito Moreno glacier) and clarity...Wonderfull shot!

Nice composition. Interesting note. Maybe I would just add some more contrast, but is a good shot anyway.

Very nice photo. It looks like it is a beautiful place. I like the fact that the ice is broken is pieces. The lines are really nice.

Hi Shir, I just read your first sentence in your Intro: I did not know how much I did not know before joining TE and TN..... Wow, I agree wholeheartedly!! It is often good to look back and see how our photos have changed and hopefully improved. I still have a LONG way to go!!!
I love this shot, with the boatclub icebound like this! So strange to see, and it makes me wonder how long is the sailing season? The lighting is good, and especially the composition. Well done...
