This enormous monument that honours Jean Sibelius, the late Romantic Finnish composer, consists of hundreds of steel pipes that are arranged vertically in a wave pattern. Most photos show it in its park setting in Toolo from that perspective.
I was more impressed by this work of abstract art when I looked at it from underneath, seeing the jagged edges of some of the pipes that soar skyward. Seen from this perspective, I had more sense of the spirit of Finlandia and of Finland itself.

Nice and unusual perspective upwards the monument's pipes, William.
Inspite of strong backlight, good thing you had not given up on taking this, the result is a fine and sharp.
Great gesture to a great composer.
