Photographer’s Note

A secluded corner by the Baltic Sea in Hanko.
It's hard to find sharp edges on these rocks that are smoothed by the ice age.
Title is a tribute to the friendly B&B in Auckland I had a joy to stay a few nights.

HEllo Kari,
I think your framing here is very well studied. I mean the sky has not a special colors or special clouds, so the idea of the tree to fill it is good. I like the view on this nice coloured water with some rocs .
A very nice and very well composed picture.

Hi Kari,
Very interesting ow you set this up. The sky tells nothing, but using the overhanging tree in front it creates a good barrier to the open sea, very clever.
The whole imege looks very serene, so more contrast is not really an option, i like it the weay it is...very good.

I've noticed this kind of smoothed rocks in Sweden but I wasn't sure of them in Finland too. But it makes sense, it is the same area.
You made a well composed and balanced photo of rock, tree, water and sky.

Outstanding composition! I love the curve of the framing, between the cove and the branches, that echoes the smooth lines of the rocks. I do wonder, however, whether the colour balance is a little on the blue side? I wasn't there, and it may be my monitor, but it looks like the scene might have been warmer in reality. Beautiful in any case.
