Photographer’s Note
There are some places in my city Espoo, where I tend to return over and over again. One is the rapids of Mankinjoki river, which changes its appearance with seasons and with its water level variations. This photo shows the rapids at its steepest run one week ago, after a cold period, which had helped the rapids to gain an ice cover. Recent snows had added a snow cover too. One could hear the water rushing down the rapids under the ices. The photo was taken at almost the same spot, where I took this photo in last autumn. The one arch stone vaulted museum bridge from year 1778 is shown on the background.

Hello Lasse.
These snowy landscapes are unusual for whose of us that live in Mediterranean environment. I like it a lot, I think you've chosen the perfect moment for taking the shot, the right light, the appropriate angle of rays.
Well done.
Best regards.
Bobo.

Hello Lasse!
Very nice details from the winter, and I specially like because we don´t have any view like this in Brazil. The trees are making nice contrast against the white, making a nice subject. Nice architecture on the bridge.

Hello Lasse,
this area looks a little impassable! :) And the winter seems almost endless, with snow wverywhere and just a bit of the sun which has been waking up too slowly.
Interesting composition; very good natural colours!
Warm regards,
Elena

Hello Lasse,
An excellent framing and a great propsect to the small bridge. A nice harmony too between the snow's white and the colours of the trees.
Best regards,
Roger

Hej Lasse,
I like this composition with all the vertical lines of the trees and the horizontal line of the beautiful old bridge. And I like the way the sulshine reaches the slope in the background. And quite a difference compared to the linked photo!
Kind regards

Ciao dear Lasse,
I have looked at your previous photo and I have to tell you that the landscape seems very different even if it's the same. However the photo is beautiful as the previous one, with the small bridge of stone whose horizontal line opposes well with the vertical lines of the trees. Excellent!
Ciao, have a nice night!

Hello Lasse,
(I could resume my voting capacity only this morning...)
It seems that you are affectionate to this place and want to show it at different seasons and times. One can only intuit of the presence of the small river seeing the arch of the bridge in the background, and maybe it's that that makes the photo interesting: the sense of depth created by the rows of trees and the view through the bridge. But to my eyes the most interesting feature is the fine textures of the trunks which with their colour contrast with the snow, so creating a graphical effect.
Have a nice day,
Donato

ciao Lasse,
l'arco sotto la strada apre la via all'ottima prospettiva tra gli alberi con il terreno innevato intorno.
Ottima la luce che filtra tra i tronchi, bravo
un caro saluto
