Photographer’s Note
Olavinlinna Castle, shot made from not so traditional POV on it (at least there are not many such shots on TE). To see the fortress from this side, you have to cross Saima river by rail-road bridge, used mostly by pedestrians, it seems, and take a short walk on a rocks and forest around. So you can see the fortress from it's side.

What a castle! I seldom saw such a well-fortified one - in each respect. I think that attackers must have despaired of these walls. A very interesting picture which truly was worth your effort to walk on this outlook rock ... ;-)
