Photographer’s Note

Dieses Foto ist auf einem Schiff der Silja-Line entstanden, auf dem Weg nach Finnland. Auf dem obersten Deck gibt es meistens eine Bar (eine von den vielen auf diesen riesigen Fährschiffen), bei schönem Wetter natürlich draußen, dort saß dieser Akkordeonspieler unter einer Reklame für Smirnoff-Wodka. Für Smirnoff wird mit diesem sinnigen Spruch geworben, aber er passt auf viele Situationen...
Ich habe nur mit den Augen gefragt, ob ich ihn fotografieren darf, nicht mit dem Mund.

Fact is, I don´t know anything about this man and his music, wether he played just for fun or even was an employee of Silja to cheer up the passengers ( to increase consumption of wodka???).
I simply was attracted by this scene with red background and diagonal shadow, and of course the words.

Hallo Elvira

Depending on the generation of the viewer this scene could almost look scary!
But for people who understand the right use for this kind of music it is maybe a little funny but at the same time a traditional addition to the right occasion.
(Me and some friends are planning a trip to the Oktoberfesten in Munchen :D)
Ok, back to the photo.
The moment is interesting, maybe a bit strange POV but I feel it works. The sign in the background really fits here. (Not that I prefer Smirnoff Ice)
The colours are good, but I feel that the light is a slight bit hard and especially in the face there are some areas that are overexposed.
None the less a quite intriguing photo!

What an attractive scene!!!Red catches easily the attension!The music player looks to enjoy his time.I like the way he is using his fingers. I also love the sound of acordeon and that was another reason that your picture magnetised me.
You have choosen succesfully the point of view!
