Photographer’s Note
At some time there was discussion of why to upload pictures of gulls on TrekEarth. Like beauty of nature wasn't enough. Gulls may be the most easily approachable of big birds. They come and check you. Sound of gulls is less charming, but nevertheless essential part of almost any seascape.
This is Herring Gull (Larus argentatus), according to Wikipedia the most abundant and best known of all gulls along the shores of Asia, western Europe, and North America.

Hi Kari Tanskanen,
To take a photograph of flying bird is very difficult. Even then you have taken it perfectly. Nice photo. Congrats.
With regards.

Outstanding colours of the sky in contrast with the bird. Very good focus.
Best wishes,

Hi Kari
"Air surveillance" indeed, a beautifully captured gull - both the colours and the capturing are perfect.

Hi Kari,
Beautiful clean simple shot of the sea gull in full flight.
He stands out brilliantly against the deep blue sky.

Hello Kari,
I like the spirit of the shot here, though simple and minimal composition with just a seagul in flight, but good composition with plenty of room for the bird to fly in. Sharpness is great and well balance light and beautiful color of the sky. The free spirit of taking flight make me feel relax, the open sky and wind, just wonderful. Thanks
