Photographer’s Note
Taken at a frozen lake at kittila, on a very cold night while at the same time enjoying a mild display of the northern lights.
Moon dogs are bright circular spots on lunar halo and appear on both sides of the moon caused by the refraction of moonlight by hexagonal-plate-shaped ice crystals in cirrus or cirrostratus clouds (wikipedia).
