Kemijarvi is the furthest North you can get by railway in Finland. The town itself is actually not so charming, but it a good starting point for trekking expeditions out into Laplands great nature. It's a land full of mosquitos and lakes. We were there in the high season (July) and after 2 days of reasonable weather it started pouring down. We spend 4 days deciding to quit Lapland. We were the only guests in the camping site at Pyhatunturi anyway. Eventually we got on a train to Rome.
But there was a special "blue" mood in Rovaniemi, and have often thought of going back. It must be great on a sunny day there in the national parks.
Needles to say that this photo was taken in heavy rain, and that it effects the visibility / clarity of the air

This picture has special mood that is enhanced by sepia toning. Feeling of a small town on a bad weather is well presented.

Lots of mood and old style charm in this image skilfully presented in sepia.
Your note reminds me of the many rainy summers I spent in the north of Europe.

it seems that the Ašores anticyclon was low inlatitude this year, leading to rain all over Notrh Europe (and even in SW of France where I live!). The sepia mood adds to the nostalgia of the sunny days!
