Photographer’s Note

Finns are full of great ideas. They really want many tourists to visit their country and that's why they're always building something new to attract tourists. Unfortunaly all of those things always end up being not-so-cool. And if they are cool they cost like hell.

So that's why I was quite surprised when I went to this snow castle. It was not huge and you can't spend all day there, just about two hours, but it was really nice! Definitely worth visiting. Again, it would be much cooler if we could have stayed in the hotel inside the castle but that also costs too much.
The snow castle itself didn't look amazing, but the bar inside was extremely cool. Everything was made of ice, the tables, chairs, sculptures and you can even drink your Finlandia Vodka from a glass made of ice. The temperature is always -5 celcius, no matter how cold the temperature is outside.

This castle is very close to the train station, you can easily walk there. Well that's obvious because Kemi is a tiny tiny town without almost anything. So you just go there to see the castle and that's it. But that's how Finland is. If you want to see things you can't spend your holiday in just one city, you have to travel around because no city has more than one or two things to see. But if you just want to relax by the lake, that you can do anywhere.

EDIT: For once I thought Finns had something special and unique, but of course the god damned Swedes had to be first (as we can see from the pictures of Hercules (Cretence) ). Well, at least we copied something cool! :)
