Photographer’s Note
I'm posting this photo more for the subject than for its beauty :P
My winter holiday in Lapland was the coming true of some of my childhood dreams: one was the icebreaker ship (see this photo ) and another one was trying sled-dogging. We had just half an hour on this wonderful means of transportation but it was so fun!
I think in the photo you can get the feeling of the "white ocean" that is Lapland in winter. White snow, white sky... The weather was dull and the light was already starting to fade, the daylight is so short there in winter.
We were actually running over the frozen sea, and the real land is where the trees are.
If you ever go to some Northern place in winter, try this out!

Excellent shot! I love how you have focused on the dogs and how one of them is almost turning the head to pose for you! you did marvelously by including the sledge as well as the other person!
I would recommend cropping some of the sky to keep the ground more to 2/3rds of the picture rather than just half-half like this.
Lovely cold colours and contrast!
Excellent! TFS!
