Earlier today Emmanuel Le Clercq posted a picture of the Alexander Newsky Cathedral in Tallinn.
It was a picture taken in 1991 before restauration.
I took this picture in the summer of 2006.
There was still a restauration (probably another one).
This pic is taken from the other side of the cathedral.
I think the cathedral looks quite different now.
For instance: the domes aren't green anymore.

This is a funny coincidence, and a nice close up. Apparently, apart from the green color, the roofs did not have that scale like appearance in 1991 either. But the white painting enhances nicely the decoration of the walls.

I really love that place and all surroundings in old town...this is what i miss. My every year travels to Tallin :)

The impressive domes seem beautifully under and through the trees canopy's.
Well managed the lit part from under the shades. Superb contrast.
