What a beautiful ice sculpture captured well on low light. Illumination is excellent and shows it clearly against darkish background. Well done. On flat daylight it would be almost impossible to make contrasty shot like this.

Ciao e buon fine settimana

Très belle cette tête de cheval en glace. Mes félicitations au sculpteur. J'aime aussi la lumière qui perce sa surface et la rend translucide.

I always find these ice sculptures fascinating, I think its because the effort that goes is huge, and they are so transient. I guess that is why they are so popular too though. I love the colors running through this, that makes a nice effect. Great shot of this cool sculpture!

I see you are checking neighbor's countries. Good idea, I have never been in the Baltic republics. Good contribution to the Year of Blue Horse. 1.25 sec.? Did you use a tripod?

Funny, just yesterday I posted a photo from Tallin and now you are there. Amazing ice sculpture indeed, I really admire people than can work with ice in that way. The ice looks so translucent and the purple hue is very attractive.

Hi dear Emka,
Sorry for the long delay in responding to your last critic... had a bit of a break from TE - with so many other things to do I never had enough hours left in the day.
Great photo Emka the ice sculptures are amazing arent they? at first sight when I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a dancer - so I had a nice surprise to see this beauty. You are alway's on the move you must write a book one day & I will buy your first copy - or better still dedicate it to your Australian friend...ha! ha!
Much love - keep safe.

It seems from your gallery you are only taking photos in cold places at the moment! This one stood out for me though. I love the pinky blue light that illuminates this horse from within.

This is quite an impressive ice sculpture, both in detail and size. The icy cool colors and transparency work incredibly well with the darker reddish tones of the background to make it really stand out. Definitely a good choice to take this under the cover of night, I imagine so much of the unique lighting and contrast would be lost under the bright sun. Not something we see every day, making this a unique picture in its own right. Love the originality, and good to see you still take advantage of being out after dark. :) Enjoy the day ahead.

Witaj Malgo !!
The sculpture is very impressive and I like the effect of the night light on the ice ..... it gives it a lilac tint.
