Raekoja Plats it at the centre of the Old Town of Tallinn. It boasts the only gothic town hall in northern Europe, seen here colourfully illuminated. In the summer this is a great place for an evening drink with the square filled with tables. But at this time of year everyone hides inside.
The data says that I didn't use a tripod for this shot. This is technically correct. I stood the camera on a concrete post and angled it by wedging the strap under the lens.

Nice colour captured here. The blue hour has served you well. You have done great, despite not having a tripod. The exposure works and the sharpness is great. Good work and some nice quality from the D200.

A beautiful blue hour photo! You've mastered the light perfectly and the overall sharpness of the picture is excellent. I like the shadowed figures in the foreground due to the loing exposure time.

it is a pleasure to look at this crisp and clear blue hour photo. some details on the buildings seem to be lost due to bright light, but besides that this photo is an A+ ... thanks for sharing
cheers .... Sarju
PS: I was just curious to to know how is D200 as compared to D70 in your eyes. Is it worth all the extra money for it?

Great shot! The light is wonderful and so are the colours. I love the very blue sky and the low POV is very well chosen too. Thanks a lot for sharing!

Beautiful blue hour image of the Raekoda, its lightning is great and the exposure is skillfully mastered to equlilibrate the various light sources. Oh you too got a D200, they're spreading like a plague, congratulations !
Have a nice day,

Thanks for share.

I like the lighting in this very much. The artifical light is often more interesting than daylight would be, and especially when you can still see some colour in the sky. Excellent shot!

A perfect ligh and sharpness for this night shot. The "fantoms" creates some life (?) and are useful. Good dof too.

I don't really know, which one I like more form these two night shots. I love the low angle (to avoid the flash, sometimes we got interesting POVs), with the sight of those shadows in midle ground. The colour of the sky is perfect and the lighting is very well balanced, making wonderful effects on the façades. The church stands out beautifully in here. Very good work!

Well Jonathan for some reason I think your D200's results are shown very nicely in this posting. I love side angled lighting on buildings like this because the details really shine out at you. A wonderful capture and a delight to see.
PS I found your name by checking out who was critiquing on Wes's deer. Ha!
