| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Alatskivi Castle was built in 1876-1885 by the request of the Baron Arved Georg von Nolken according to his own project in the so-called Scottish Baron Style. The Alatskivi Castle is considered to be the most beautiful Neo-Gothic style building in the whole Baltic region. Despite the fact that there are currently restoration works going on, the Castle is open to the tourists. Observation of restoration process of the historic building and cultural heritage is sightseeing on its own for many people.
In addition different events, concerts and exhibitions are organised in the Castle and in its surroundings. |

Tere Hanno! You did a fine job with this old castle. It's one of my favorites in Eesti and the restoration effort on the outside looks wonderful.
I don't know what was located behind you or next to you when you took the photo but had you been able to stand back a bit further you could have included the entire curve of the road in your photo. Doing that would have put the castle a bit off center but the curve would have taken the eye to it and the photo would still have been in balance.
