Thanks for the inspiration to Itzik – I remember this close-up long time ago.

The photos taken at the Safari park Knuthenborg at the island Lolland - where you can drive your car among exotic animals like Giraffes, Water buffalos, Rhinos and Tigers.
I fact came one the Rhinos too close to my car - I fealth a sligth movement as he passed by - but no damage done :-)

Hello Jeppe,

Long time ago, you show us a very spectacular image, with this detail about the Elephant and his attackers.
What a wonderful detailed picture with a very good sharpness, we see splendid the skin structures, this is almost a parchment.

Very good idea and very good photo technically.

I'm sorry for the elephant, he is going to have an eye infection bcs of all those flies in his eyes. Also, looks a bit disgusting.

I also like your idea of going into detail. The qualitiy of this shot is excellent, but the story behind it is just too sad, the poor elephant!

Love the close up of the elephant's eye. They are such majestic animals and the feelings that you can almost always see in their eyes truly shows what an emotional animal the truly are!

So no one gave the right answer (even if it's written in your note and posted in WS), I thought it's an elephant eye too :) Great shot, very good idea. But I can't look at those flies torturing the poor ugly animal ;-)

Godt at se, at du igen sætter billeder på TE.
Meget fint og tydeligt billede, det må alt andet
være irriterende med alle disse fluer.
Det var jo ikke så svært at gætte hvad det var for et dyr :-)
