[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I went on a walk and after taking lots of pictures, this was the one I liked best because I love this weather. In the Danish countryside, it isn't hard to experience this phenomenon. Half the sky gets dark gray and threatens to drench you while the other half is a gorgeous sunny day. This makes for some fun photography.

The only thing I've done to it is to sharpen and crop the image.

Hi Kate.
I cannot see why nobody has commented this shot. You are truly right about the weather here making a perfect situation for different colorings and ligt settings.
You have kept your thatched roof crisply sharp and in fine contrast to the threatening sky.
Well spotted.

Jan

Hello Kate.
Nice picture with appropriate details of this rural roof showing a special fabric technique.
So I think the shot needs to be noticed by her own author about the used technique to be more interesting.
Kind regards.
Bobo.
P.S. : I thank you a lot for having insert me into your favourites

Hello Kate
A minimalistic compo with nice details of this traditional thatched roof which is well illuminated. I like the contrast and texture.
Cheers
Marilyn

Hello Kate,
Like this shot very much, you have got the colours and atmosphere just right.
Like the way you have cropped it as well.
Nice Work.
Regards.
Mike

Hi Kate. I love this kind of weather too in Denmark, when the clouds go dark and the remaining sunlight gives a special glare like on this roof and the chimney. Good composition and crop, well done. Regards Jens :-)

Bonjour Kate,
j'aime beaucoup les lumières du soleil qui réchauffent cette toiture et font ressortir dramatiquement, le sombre de ce ciel menaçant.
Un cadrage audacieux et original.
Regards.
Daniel.

Great composition... I wish I'll be able to do something like this some day ;-) It's a great idea to compose aligning the cloud line with the rooftop... I love it.
