[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Denmark is a nation of islands and peninsulas, making ferries a common transport option. Here are a mother and child waiting for the ferry from Femų to come into port at Kragenęs. The Ferry to the small island of Femų runs about every two hours and takes 50 minutes. Unfortunately this long ride has made the island unattractive to year round residents, especially those with children. According to the resident we spoke to, there are only two families with children who permanently reside on the island. A majority of the 150 residents are retirees. On the other hand, Femų makes a wonderful vacation destination, because it is remote and beautiful.

On a technical note, if anyone has any ideas of how to fix this photo, I would love suggestions. I'm not happy with the color and I had to do serious cropping to cut out a car and storage sheds at the dock. This was the best cut I came up with .
