Photographer’s Note

Now a days the prefer shape of a field must be rectangular – but due to the Danish landscape, this not always possible – lately have I shot a lot of fields and its time to post some – this one from July where we mostly had cloudy and rainy days. Now (when the holydays over) we finally got summer.

The windmills very typically in the Danish landscape, the government have for years supported building of such and many people has been encouraging to make investment. Moreover does Denmark have a relative large windmill industry. Hope you like it.

very nice landscape ... great lines...

great timing as well, i was just in a discussion with Line, she said that i was hard in a dutch landscape to shoot a photo with an ordanary windmill, and i thought it was hard to shoot a danish landscape without these windmill and now you come up with this... Funny

Not a regular field at all, Jeppe. What a wonderful pattern of the curved tractor wheels lines. This golden colors of the starw go excellent with the grey sky. As I know Danmark's land is quite flat, so I do expect to see rectangular fields, but I am glad that you found this one.

Very good shot, Jeppe - strong leading lines in the field leading the view towards the back; good depth and fine inclusion of the windmills and the farm/residential building on the right. Not a regular field for sure, but good for us that you found it as a photographic subject. Very nice.

Nice details. I like the 'soft hills' here, the curved tracks, the gray/blue clouds and the wind mills to the left balancing the house to the right. Is Denmark always so, with many hills? I hope I can get to know it soon, and perhaps we could meet.

Un ciel parfaitement équilibré avec l'avan-plan.
Les traces des tracteurs sont bien réparties dans l'image.

Les couleurs sont vraiment splendides et le gris du ciel ajoute beaucoup à cette composition.
J'aime bien l'équilibre du cadrage avec au deux extrémité les sujets (Eoliennes et habitations).

You caught another dark sky there to contrats the yellow field. Well done. The house on the hill looks absolutely idyllic. But it is the tractor tracts through thecorn that make this composition - and strikes one from the thumbnail.

The flow of tractor tracks resembles the shape of the hills, probably from the fact that they were created by driving along the contours of the land. It looks like there is water in the bottom of the tracks a bit unusual for the regulated and drained danish farm-land.
The greenish-golden colour of the ripening wheat (I think it is wheat) gives a special tone to this landscape.

Très belle composition Jeppe, un beau contraste entre la couleur des champs, et ce très beau ciel, petite note plus lumineuse, la petite maison blanche sur la petite colline. Jolie résultat, Bravo.
