There is a speciel atmosphere, at Hjerl Hede in the christemas time.

I do hope you can fell it, in the picture, the light mean a lot to me, and the old time, just call me nostalgic -))))))

Tous les élément contribuent à une très belle composition. La tonalité des couleurs est bien choise, et les éléments comme le torchon au mur, la bassine ou le rouleau à patisserie, harmonieusement placés, renforcent bien la scène. le personnage principal, avec son torchon sur la tête et le fichu sur les épaules, semble directement venu d'un autre temps. C'est vraiment très bon.

Simplement peut-être auriez vous pu donner un côté plus dramatique à l'image en passant directement au N&B et en accentuant les contrastes, mais c'est un question de sensibilité personnelle. Super Kaj.

The lighting is handled very well here Kaj. Good detail across the scene and even the light from the window isn't over exposed. Nice composotion as well.

There is indeed a good atmosphere in this room.

Oh yes, very special atmosphere rendered here. This woman cooking pancakes under a low light of this oil lamp is very well caught in her typical costume. The exposure is very well done, increasing this special atmosphere and the fuzzy light coming from the window improves details of this subject. So well done !

Very nostalgic and moody picture. Excellent balance between the window light and direct lightning. I would consider to crop out the reflection of the lamp on the left hand side. Well done

Great compo, the woman figure is like the echo of the light on the wall. "Outside it is windy but here it is so hot" (Cabaret), it also express as you described, the nostalgy...

Yes, the light is perfect. Looks very much like a painting I have of a Danish peasant in the 19th century - painted back then. I think I would have cropped out the door on the left that reflects the light. It takes the eye of the woman and the window. On the other hand you used the principle of thirds very well, putting the lamp and the woman one third and two thirds into the frame. Anyway, a real gem with fantastic texture.

Très belle réalisation ,le titre lui va à merveille, cette image nous fait remonter le temps, les couleurs sont chaudes.L'ambiance est douce, toute est harmonie. Bravo.

Nostalgic? Ok, but I like this too. You indeed have a lot of atmophere here; the light is a good element too. The composition as such I like too. We are looking over the shoulder of this woman to what she is doing and seeing through the window. thanks.

je regarde l'ensemble de la photo, et mon oeil est toute suite attiree sur la moulin a l'extérieur...petit détail qui fait son importance, je reviens à l'intérieur, et la je vois une jeune fille qui prepare certaines choses, on dirait le feuilleton " la petite maison dans la prairie "
les tons sont chauds et l'ambience est bien rendue bravo BI

Le titre atmosphère est très explicite, l'éclairage à la lampe à pétrole,la tonalité des teinte qui en résulte, l'ensemble de la composition est vraiment très esthétique, beau il ne manque que l'odeur,de la patisserie, du pétrole. Beau travail /jr

The light is everything in this super shot Kaj and it creates a great ambience together with this lady in costume with her back to the camera... well done!

I love the warm light and especially the windmill through the window. This is a very old fashioned photo, could have been taken 100 years ago.

This is an excellent picture, Kaj. Yes, the light is quite special. It seems that you have used the technique of painters like Rembrandt or Georges de la Tour, who created dark atmospheres partly illuminated by a window or a candle. The mill outside is a final contribution to the perfection of this photo.
