Photographer’s Note

When I posted this dead elm tree I also mention that some trees was turned in to artworks. Here an example of such a tree – This post has two purposes: It presents this fine work of which I done some close-ups for later and its also my first contribution to the summer-hunt (Group of four people)

The photo taken the very same day of the sailboat race – in fact – Svendborg sund right behind me.
Only cropped, resized and cleared up with NI
(Ok - an ugly red van is cloned away)

Second notes - The artwork also made to mark the 750th birthday of Svendborg - theres a lot of details besides the two eagles and I heard the man was about to point out some for hes family.

Very nice picture, Jeppe! colors are wonderful and if this piece of tree is art, you took it in picture with a lot of art too! The people down right give a useful idea of the scale. Well done!

Beautiful colours here, Jeppe, with perfect light and nice precense of people, so we can compare to them the real size of the sculpture! :-) Very good composition with a fine moment captured. Very well done and thank you for sharing!

Very nicely saturated colours here. And what a great sculpture, we have those around here too, is it the same guy who does them all around the country? Anyway good compo and overall fantastic as usual.

can't wait for the details. The sky is beautiful blue, ate texture of the wood rich and pleasing. The guy staring out of the middle of the trunk looks like LOKI from your mithology!

Very good, Jeppe. The composition with the tree by itself would already be very pleasing, but the peoples' presence and the way their glances follow the way the guy is pointing to are a great enhancement to the scene. Colors and contrast are very pleasant. Good work.

Great colours and interesting shot of te sculpture, but I guess you don't need anyone to tell that what makes the shot is the family looking at it, and the guy pointing a good extra touch. Points tomorrow.

The colors are so rich. Your low POV is well-chosen...at its last breath (?) the elm tree stands proud and dignified. Your vertical framing helps .
