What a great composition, and the lighting is spectacular. It looks like the coloured houses are floating on the icey waters. Overall a striking image....staying awake was worth it.

Ce genre de paysage m'attire toujours. C'est très bien présenté avec des petites maisons en bois de toutes les couleurs. La position de prise de vue en hauteur nous permet de découvrir en arrière l'eau avec tous ces blocs de glace.

Hi Attila,
I like this one much better then the daylight version. The colors are beautiful here, especially the pink sky and its reflections to the water.
I've had the pleasure of seeing the midnight sun in northern Sweden (see 2 am near Kiruna in my gallery) but this light is much softer.

Between both I prefer the other one for the diversity of colors on the house and the clarity, but this one at the very early (or late) pink hour shows a different atmosphere and is very nice to see too.

It’s absolutely good idea adding whole shore with new post and this one is really different from your earlier post. I like wonderful colored houses but here… The reflection at 01:00 AM! It must be polar lights that available at this time. Reflections of dark mountains on spectacular colored surface with ice blocks are magnificent. Congratulations.

What an amazing spot; I can see how difficult it would be to fall asleep when this scene unfolded. Here the incredible pink light is reflected on the sea and the image is almost surreal. The exposure level seems just right with good clarity of detail on all of the buildings. Your scan retained most of the quality here. Well captured.

Again a wonderful picture almost the same at your other picture but, I looked and looked at it again to get whether this is a real or a toy town. Incredible to read that this is real! Wonderful colours and an exactly effective POV. It is a perfect decision to get the sea into the frame, with its arctic formations floating. Excellent sharpness and arrangement of contrast. Man, those are incredible colors...what type of film were you using? I like the POV...the vantage point is great to capture the heart of this small village. It looks as though I could sit on that same hill from which you took this shot, and rest all day long. The exposure is fantastic here, the shot is glowing.

Thanks for posting this shot, because it's a real pleasure to watch. Having seen the place in daylight, the pink hue of the sky does gives this a totally different perspective. Not only the sky, but the hue of the midnight sun on the houses are special. Simply superb!

Hi Attila. Wonderful shot. I know exactly how you must have felt studying this view changing hour by hour, it's just fantastic. The low light underlines the fine colors of the wooden houses that are placed like totally out of order. The pitoresque town is a great foreground to the silent scenary of nature with ice and water and mountains. All in all it's a really good composition. I'm not so sure about the framing, maybe an all simple black frame? Anyways, beautiful photo. TFS amd greetings Jens :-)

this shot has really fancied me. the color of the sky appears just as the same on the water , which is a very rare possibility. also the typical danish housing is shown . what you did best was to keep half of the image by land and other remaining part with water

Jó gondolat volt párban megmutatni a képet. Csuda, hogy egy napon belül mennyire más tud lenni ugyanaz a hely, persze továbbra is marad meseszerű. Egészen másnak látszik például a jég a rózsaszín vízen (olyan, mintha véletlenül szórta volna oda valaki), mint a másik képen, ahol a ködös tenger természetes kelléke. Jó látni mindkettőt, tágítja a képzeletet.
