Photographer’s Note
I have been away for some days – just in case anybody noticed. More precisely had I visit a nice Danish island called Aeroe where some of my family lives.
As usual I spend a lot of time taking photos (some would say too much ;-) – Most of them I took just for fun – hoping for some nice to be captured and the rest was family photos.
When I spotted a small creek (or even smaller – lack the word) with lots of yellow flowers growing at both sides, I decided that this motif I simply had to get “in the box” – But alas even I took 50 shots with different settings it turned out to be a mission impossible – the different in contrast was simply to much – and I passed the time where the sun was in the right corner.
I had to work “a bit” with the best photo in order to get the contrast and colours better – hope you like it. I also tried an alternative-manipulating workshop, which I posted to TL.
The trees at the right, are willows which been pollarded for many years – in fact I was told they must be over 260 years old.

This Spring photo is magical. It makes the viewer feel like one of the little people sailing down a tiny rivulet on a walnut shell swept forward by tail feathers from a morning dove. The crispness, the hyper-realism of the waving yellow blossoms and cascading new and old grasses make them see animate, like a throng of cheerfully clad spectators at a river parade, waving the viewer forward. And to top it off, the gyrating old tree trunks surrounded by the gorgeous blue of the sky. Lovely, lovely photo to welcome the new season.

I like this one better than the one on TL. Great colours and very relaxed atmosphere. The composition is perfect - Nice job, again.

A beautiful spring moment. The reflections so dark yet so beautiful. The framing is wonderful, the tress and the sides of the creek hide the beautiful secret of the little creek.

An original duck's point of view. Good angle and composition.
P.S. I think that sometime your family will hide your camera during the trip.

Yes, I noticed - welcome back, Jeppe. Very pretty shot here, this definitely calls out "spring" in terms of the colors and the light you captured. The low angle allows for a very good presentation, kind of like a duck's perspective I would imagine. Great reflection. Beautifully done.

The yellow flowers on the left are wonderful along with the stream and its reflections, i also like both sides contrast, one side is dark and the other light.
well captured and framed.

Jeppe, this is very good. The colors are very warm and your composition is interesting. You were very low and the flowers seem to bow at your presence. Congratulations.

This version and the TL version are not so different, Jeppe, and the bot nice. I like the high contrast here, and the POV. It really looks like you you stood in the water in order to take this shot. Wonderful colors and lines. very well done.

Welcome back Jeppe - we noticed you were not much around. ;-)
Wonderful perspective, coming from the creek and outlined gorgeously by the flowers and greenery at the edges. I like the natural colours and the light here. Excellent shot!

The final result from the little creek works well where the creek itself become the divider of the different light setting. The details and contrast between the flowers and the grand trees works well

Neat angle. Feels like you were standing in the water. (were you standing in the water?)
The right side of the photo is almost like a vertical reflection.
Very cool. :-)

Jeppe
A very difficult scene to expose correctly, but you did remarkably well! Lovely mood here. For this, try and meter off some green grass in the same light, and use that setting on your camera in manual. It might give you a bit better exposure.
