Photographer’s Note

It's not unusual to see people kayaking on the Copenhagen canals. Here is a trio pacing down Christianshavns Kanal, the bald guy is one day early for Darrens scavenger hunt, alas.
In postprocessing I tried to stress the busy, swirling movement by increasing contrast and adding a bit of noise.

I like your idea Torben, with the kayaks on there way out of the frame. Your breaking the rules you know ;) Mabye you can lighten it a bit as well, then i think it will be easier to see the swirls. For me the picture is a litle bit to dark and noisy.

At first sight I thought "Where are the two others" - sorry Linie 3. Yes, I have to agree with Zandra - you are breaking the rules (in a most interesting way) by letting two of the main subjects move out of the frame and I would like it a bit lightened too and without the noise. You have used it with great success in earlier pictures but I don't like it here.

Apart from that I really like the picture and your cropping. It made me stop and look ones more. very good job.

it took me some extra seconds to recognize the third 'guy'.
was this shot taken at night? as usually, the darker the better for me.
water and colors and movement.

Noise it more!
It's ok, but you could boost it a little more I think. And what you also could try is to make a layer and then after adding noise, you could slowly erase back the paddler to owards his original structure...
You are very creative and I like that. Skide godt ;)
In the composition I would see the closest boat more inside the frame. Like you have lowered the entire camera a little. You would cut away some of the paddleore, but like you've allready done...breaking rules! Keep on breaking stuff!
