Photographer’s Note
I've been after this withered weed for a long time, ever since I took an "almost nice" picture of these now-empty seedholders on another frosty morning, only to find out that I'd used too low an F-stop, so only part of the plant was within the DOF range. Apart from that it looked really great against the clear blue sky. At long last the details came together once again for a retry, and this is the result. This "umbrella" looks big in the picture, but in real life it's only some 2-3 cm across.
Treatment: Crop, contrast +10, saturation +10, USM and resize.

Very nice view and contrast of your man theme against the sky.
Your note is very informative.
Well done for both!

Lovely close up showing great details of the frost. The sky is so smooth and makes a great contrast with the plant. I like this a lot. Well done.

This branch "umbrella" in the ice-cold arms is very well placed in diagonal and the colours of the sky is of a very lively blue. Good shot!
As the sky is of use as canvas to this branch, I tried to remove certain pixels harmful to the pondering over your photo.

Oh - I forgot this one - Very beautiful ice-flower you captured Bente - The blue sky perfect for this photo - and makes the crystal shine even more - good work indeed.
