Photographer's Note
Last July 11, I met a TE friend. We headed to Skagen, the northernmost part of Denmark with fingers crossed that there would be a good sunset. I learned later on that that was the ONLY clear sunset experienced by Denmark for quite sometime. Now, who is this friend?
Jeppe is a TE and TL (Jep) friend. He is one of the TE photographers whom I respect the most for his sunset shots. His landscape shots of Denmark are also spectacular. Before I flew to Copenhagen, I emailed him and I was very glad that he was available to meet up with me despite our tour's tight itinerary. We met up in Frederikshavn and he reserved me a front seat in his car (where he drove some kilometers along with his family) to treat me out for dinner at the northernmost part of Denmark, Skagen.
We waited for the sunset which came at around 10 pm. It was awesome to see Jeppe at work. I did learn a lot from him. He drove me back to my hotel at around 11 pm. It was a short meeting but a priceless one. To Jeppe and his family, thank you so much.
BTW, I also posted another shot of Jeppe at work in TL,click here today. AND, please look at this for a close-up shot of the master at work.

you came to Denmark with one of Boracay's sunsets in your pocket?? Impressive to see Jeppe at work under these idyllic conditions. Your fine sense of aesthetics is also present in this photograph. You must have read so many praising comments on your work that I wonder if you keep paying attention to these few words. Thank you for keeping the dream alive Manuel.

In that little window of time you have captured something quite special of the soul of this photographer friend to share with so many other unknown photographer friends - a beautiful commonality (silhouetted reflections at sunset) elevated to uncommon meaning by Jeppe's presence and your appreciation of him at work.
best wishes Kev

Hi Manny. Beautiful study of Jeppe at work, a great work of silhouettes and reflections amidst the stunning colorful end-of-day setting. Nothing much to criticize here, it is just very enjoyable.

HI Manuel
nice to read your notes, and about the brief but intense encounter with Jeppe, you know thanks to TE these things are possible, as time passes more and more meetings are being organized and this is just great!
It would be nice, but harder I guess to have you here, or maybe I should go and visit you, and learn something!
By the way, this picture is nice, the water has a color gradient which is certainly beautiful
Nice to see Jeppe in action, my dearest regards to you, be welcome again to your house in here

Hi Manny,
This shot is very special, not just because technically its perfect with awesome coulours and very sharp, but also because this is trully TE spirit. This is a really nice comunity, and these pictures of other members taking pictures are really touching as TE allows so many people with similar passions that would have never met to meet.

Hi Manny! Very nice reflection and colors! Just reading your notes, I can feel you really enjoyed your Scandinavian and TE mtg tour! Jeppe looks so serious in his portrait, usually he jokes around here at TE with his funny shots! Anyway, your recent photos are different from your usual portrait shots - but still very good! rgds.

Hi Manuel
Beautiful sunset shot and a unique one, too.
The color and setting is so clean and peaceful, while the silhoutte of Jeppe is perfectly blended into the picture with his clear reflection.
Well done, Manuel.

Hi Manuel,
Viewing this photo it seems to me you did not travel alone to Denmark to meet Jeppe, I get the feeling a fair number of your Boracay sunset colors boarded the plane with you ;-)
Super tribute to Jeppe, with the awesome reflection being a great add to the wonderful colors, bravo ! I add it to the theme...
Have a nice day,

Hi Manuel,
Skagen is the most northernpart of DENMARK not of Norway;) But yes, the Scandinavian countries are very similar to each other, at least concerning language, history and politics. (And Skagen is situated in the Amt (State) of Nordjylland - northern Jutland.)
Very nice photo! A sunset and one reflection in 1 photo, you don't see that so very often. Very nice colours and good reflection. Also funny to see the close-up of Jeppe;)
I hope we will see lots of photos of you and of Jeppe.
Thanks,
Stef

Hi Manny
Thanks a lot my friend for this fine silhouette portrait - it was a pleasure meeting you for a short time - I like the photo very much and its surely an interesting and rare oppertunity to watch one self at work. Besides the fine sunset, was that little pond at the top, our luck as well - I had some trouble selecting the an answer photo to this - but ended up with a complementary shot.

Terrific work, Manny - the silhouette and reflection against this fabulous background create a high impact shot. Superb colours and layers. And the fact that Jeppe is the subject makes it even more interesting!

Hola Manuel. Fantástica foto. Los colores del atardecer son impresionantes y la composición inmejorable. Lo que más me agrada de la foto es la simetría de la imagen y el reflejo en el agua. Esta todo muy logrado. Muchas felicidades por tan buen trabajo.
