Alternative title – “The Tinder-Box” (Fyrtøjet in Danish)
The fairytale of the Tinderbox was one the first from H. C. Andersen and one, which made him famous.
The story about a solider, which asked by a witch to climb down a hollow willow (very much like the one on the photo) and down there can he find all the riches he could ask for- and he should:
“Only promise to bring me an old tinder-box, which my grandmother left behind the last time she went down there”.
Well perhaps should you read the true story here
More info about this area and the church in the background can be found here.

Good contribution in this theme Jeppe. Seems you have the same weather around as up here - so a good representation of our countries I think...

Skön bild Jeppe.
Härliga svala färger, och pileträdets siluett är mysig.
Nu ska vi inte sitta vid datorn hela dagen, utan ut i solen!!!

Hi Jeppe, very beautiful is this filigree willow bush against the spectacular sunset sky. The background trees and the nice house give a great depth. Very well done!

A nice contribution with good choice of portrait framing and beautiful delicate rosa tones to be seen.
Have a nice week end,

Nice photo with a beatiful tree and great colours and lovely Danish church, nice for HC Andersens birthday. I find the bottum a bit dark, but it is not *too* dark. Apart from the church, it could allmost be Dutch;) But he also has been in the Netherlands I read in his diary.

Very nicely done in the colors and mood given by a perfect catch at this hour.
I like quite every thing in the composition and just wondering if the little shed is enough in quantity :))
But this is a detail that does not hurt really.
I like it

Lights were différent for the same hour. In my village, it was very clear (but I took a photo in intérior)
fine colors of the end of the day. The tree is very captured.
compliments et à bientôt

Lovely colours, the fine silhouette effect of the main tree, repeated with that of the little ones makes for a lovely image.

Well, another fairy tail captured. And it's certainly not a 1 April joke.
Beautiful picture, especially with that typical little Danish church.

Hi Jeppe, A beautiful scene at dusk. The silhouette style of the tree in the foreground framed this picture beautifully. I like the pink sky color, the green colored ground, and the small villige outline. Well done.

Hi Jeppe. Very nice the reddish tint you get at the bottom of the sky, just above the church. Well composed, of course, with the portrait format and the interesting tree placed in the foreground right.

A superb sunset with excellent color & sharpness. I like the graphism & the pink tinged horizon. The double storey house is unusual in shape too. Well done!

This time of year the nordic sunsets are unbeatable. You caught it veru well Jeppe. The tree sillhoutte is amazing it looks like extreme fingenails is growing out from it.
Well seen and caught

Nice image. I like the silhouetted patterns and the colors of this picture. Magical pastel lighting.

Jeppe what a fine contribution to this theme. I love the extreme sharpness in the branches. Also shooting into the sun like this has given you extraordinary contrast with the big tree. Seems like you had a helpful sky with the nice warm tones too. Very nice work Jeppe!

In a nice moment you worked it,and in a great day (Hans Christian Andersen)you did it,that I find it very nice and deep, too.
in point of tech,no doubt,it's strongly managed.
but it's very sensitive and full of feelings, maybe nostalgic,...but I like it very much.
nicely composed and thanks fot posting it,Jeppe!
