Photographer’s Note
This is Roskilde Palæ/Palace, build between 1733 and 1736. De architect was Lauritz de Thurah.
The palace was meant as a place to stay when the royal family was travelling or had to go to the Cathedral in Roskilde for a funeral.
The Cathedral of Roskilde is next to this palace and here the Danish royalties get buried.
The 9th of March was still quite cold, but very sunny, a good day for photography.
I sharpned the photo, sharpened it and gave it a more saturation and constrast, but only a little bit.

Hi Stef, Good to see your new post. This is a strong contrast, strong statement building. You have used the gate nicely to see the inside from a guest point of view. I like the way you have both snow and blue sky in the picture. They made a strong contrast to this bright colored building.
Well done.

Bonsoir Stef,

Parabens.

It's certainly a nice twist shooting from this angle. I like how this POV lets us see both the details in the wall and the rest of the palace in the distance. The yellow is rich and vivid. Well seen!

I did not know you have bright colors in your palaces too. At first look I thought it was from Mexico. You took it at the right time when the sun is low. Nice work.

Very beautiful place and good composition. But in the absence of a human figure or something living walking by, I think a part of the view on the right is a bit distracting. Can you try a crop perhaps?

A strong composition. Very bright colours and sharp. Though I would have taken out the nose of the car perhaps..... Greetings.

Dag Stef,
Het perspective is zeer goed, het oker geel kleur van de muren en dit schitterende doorkijk openingen maken uw foto zo mooi, jammer dat jij de auto geen zetje kon geven Stef!
Groeten,
John.

What a nice color, and well built composition around these archs.
Good lights in these perspectives and a great care you took to have perfect elements in the opening (except the car :))) ).
Compliments

Hi Stef. Beautiful colours and light. The arcs and the shadows are a playful combination with the straight lines of the windows. Just a pity of the car.

Nice one! The yellow makes me think of Vienna. So many yellow buildings there. Very nice! Looks a bit like Schonbrun, also a palace. I like your angle and the shadows. Pity for the 'nose' of the car. I'll try to wipe the car out with a workshop if you like. Good picture!

Hej Stef, this one is again a didactic play of how the use of colours can express a meaning. We can see everything and nothing by the same time. The arches suggest an old building, the scandinavian yellow gives a warm feeling of the heart as well as the clear blue sky. Eithe you start discovering the scene from left or right, the eye's guided by the interplay of lights and shadows on the bows to the houses and the open place. But there's still enough space left to let the mind wander on the ensemble in whole. We still don't know the complete area, but we can imagine. Great work, my dear.

This photo is stunning Stef! Such strong architecture, the arch shapes and the colors are so bold. The bright blue sky accents it well and the only thing that I didn't like Marina took care of in her workshop. Super photo!

Hi Stef,
Nice work with yellow indeed. Besides the colours I like the composition of the shot too. Very effective POV makes the photo quite artistic. Well done!
Thanks,
Marek
