[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just a piece of birch sticking up of Lyngby Sjö (Lake) on NW Själland. This is just 25 minutes by train and 20 minutes walk from downtown Copenhagen.

The lake is frozen over with a thin crust, too thin to walk on. The weather is sunny, around freezing point and no wind. The perfect day in Scandinavian January.

Uh,
Ebbe, you once again proved your master-eye for spotting graphically interesting scenes. The case here is that the main factor in action is, actually, the light that produced high contrast on the birch, thus creating an interesting reflection on the water surface.
And that very surface, holding a blue gradient quality makes again a perfect BG for the happening.
Everything is then again contrasted with the misty top of the frame.

Hey Ebbe, this is nice! A very peaceful mood coming from the VERY thin layer of ice. You can even see in the texture of the ice, that the current was different around the stick. Very nice light on the stick!

This is a Great shot, but possible for many "TE" members some nostalgic or without significance!

Good quality photo, excelent composition, colors and a great intuitive and creative insight to dicide in a must that is simplicity. You made from a simple thing that nobody looks to have light and have life. So, your shot is fantastic for all I think must be said.

Hi Ebbe, this is quit awonderful capture! Very pure and I simply love the combination of the textures of ice and birch here. Xcellent! Maybe it would have been better to crop of the top third part of the pic to focus all the the attention to this thing of beauty.

Nice quiet water and good details on the birch.
Good framing.

I do like those kind of picture, the simple composition, show nature. There is silent show in the photo, great sharp, velle compoced, and light + colour and contrast excellent.
