At the lake in Lyngby this faithful canadian canoe waits for the summer by the icy water. The water might look small but it is only a cleared canal through the seaweed to the large system of lakes and canals behind. So much fun if you have something to paddle in.

This is another of those captures one does in winter Ebbe. No tropical beaches here... ;-) Yet you do your customary job a carefully composing a photo with distinctive elements, focusing on their arrangement. Here we have the keel of the canoe leading our eyes to a dock whose individual boards covered in show highlight the multiple dark lines, all floating in the bleak winter scene. You give us enough sky that we can see a touch of blue, as though summer might be coming in some distant future, but today it is still winter. No canoes will be dropped in the water today...
Well done. We use what is available to us and hopefully with a bit of flair.

Nice light and colors.
Good composition and framing.

A very appealing composition, Ebbe, with the faded light giving the colors a pastel touch. Lines from the bow of the canoe and the jetty leading us into the image and to the small part frozen water visible. I understand that you were attracted by the canoe, but how did you find this very secluded place in the middle of a capital region - and on your own. Very well done!

A beautiful shot and artistic composition, Ebbe. The pale colors gives a cold and a bit melancholic mood. I like the use of large negative bright space, which emphasizes this mood. Will you go back or another photo in the summer?

Good shot with a winter atmosphere. Nice effect with ice over the canoe. May be a bit crop sky and more place for the foregroud to give a better dof ?

Another very fine detail from this place Ebbe. Good use of light and colours where the canoe is a 'must' for the compo.

Very nice composition. A while back I’ve critiqued a photo from another member with a very similar motive and POV like this but not as successful, because it was taken in a horizontal framing cropping the sky. And in my critique I’ve said how the photo could work exactly the way you’ve done it!
Considering this is a very, very nice image I’m pleased in first place to see it and second to see that I was right in my critique and such framing does work. :-)
Beautiful details, sharpness and colors.
