Photographer’s Note
The Mill Gate ("Mølleporten") in Stege on Moen ("Møn") is one of two left town gates left in Denmark.
It was built in the late 15th century, almost torn down in 1873 when it was nothing but a wrecked ruin, but fortunately it was in 1895 declared a "monument of memory".
Originally it was stood as one of three town gates to Stege as part of an "edifice" of defence.
Until as late as 1987 The Mill Gate was "The" entrance to Stege if you were travelling from the east...

Hi Jan,
This is a very nice traditional view of Stege. The light posts do seem a bit jarring compared to the age of the rest of the photo. On the other hand, I've had to contend with those same type of light posts in other photos. I guess that is photography in DK. Hope you've enjoyed your summer.
Sincerely,
Kate

Jan,
This is a great shot of this old gate. Your composition is fine using the road to lead the eye into the photo. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.
TFS,
Asa
