Photographer’s Note
No visitors to Ilullisat ever forget the meaning of the town´s name: "The Icebergs"
All year round huge icebergs raising more than a metres above the water are stranded in the fiord.
These icebergs are all products of the mighty and most productive glacier in the Northern hemisphere.
The Ilulissat glacier, which daily gives birth to 20 millions tons of ice !
Ilulissats location 300 kilometres North of the polar circle causes the sun not to set from early june to late july.
A midnight cruise between the gigantic icebergs in the light of the midnight sun is an experience of a lifetime

This is so powerful and beautiful, the small boat gives an impression of how huge the iceberg is. I love it!

Simply beautiful, Allan.
The iceberg is huge and the boat helps in perceiving the difference in hight.
Good 'cold' colours as well!

This small vessel is even better for comparison. The scale is hughe and it important with a scale object. I think you managed the light better now, as compared to the first one.
The whole serie is great, can´t critique them all ;o)
