Photographer’s Note
This photo was shot in Ilulissat icefjord. The Ilulissat icefjord was this year inscribed in UNESCO´s world heritage list. The ice comes from the Kangia glacier which daily produce 35 km3 ice to the fjord, which is the same amount of drinking water New York City consume in a year !!!
No colours has been altered, it was a "grey" day.

Hi,
in the truest sence, a cool pic! Few, but great colors. The ship gives the right feeling for the dimensions; well done.

Ice and tanker... don't mix happily, great perspective giving us the shear size of the berg.

Okee Allan,
I love the shot but I am sure it can be done better. The boat is taken about in the middle, and I know for sure that when you had wait a few seconds, it was much better. I don't say it's bad, no, it already good, but it can be done better.

Voilà qui montre bien comment le Titanic a pu couler suite à une collision avec in Iceberg. Quand on connait la taille d'un tanker, on imagine celle du bloc de glace.
Bien vu.

A nice juxtaposition of the tanker to the ice. Nice soft colors too, this blue that we associate with low temperatures.

Spectacular view. In need of some levels adjustment - seems more underexposed than grey from the weather...

bonne idée cette image. cadrage qui renforce la fragilité du navire et la grandeur de l'iceberg. les tonalités du froid sont bien rendues

Allan, nice shot and I appreciate that you did not alter the colours! The size of the iceberg is well illustrated (and we have to keep in mind that this is just 10% of it...). Coincidentally, the movie "Titanic" is currently broadcasted on Dutch television! Just like a couple of others that gave their opinion, I would choose a different composition, bringing the ship off-center. In this case, cropping on the right seems to be the best choice, to keep the ship sailing into the frame instead of leaving the picture. A little more sharpness would also be an improvement. Actually, this is more or less what Ebbe has done in his workshop!
