[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The guard at the Royal Castle in Copnhagen caught a bit further away on his return trip to his little red hut. The castles "Amalienborg" is really four castles built around a big square. Quite a special arrangement, the whole block is built up around double symmetry meaning that the square is really a square in the mathematical sense and all four castles are identical and cover a fourth of the circumference each. Look at a city plan of Copenhagen and the castle stands out at a first glance by the graphic impact of its geometry.

Cropping was a hard decision on the lower part but I like to include the pattern of the pavement even though it might be a bit confusing to the eyes.

This gurd looks to big to be able to stand in his booth.I think that they built the booths in the same diameter of the hats. A very well lit photo, with nice and bold colors. A very good shot, Ebbe.

technical quality is superb, composition is ok, but I think that this picture would really improve if you have waited until this guy turns his face to us. Maybe it wouldn't be very original, but there are better ways to seek originality :)

Hey Ebbe, where's the drain pipe dissapeared? ;-D
This IS an excellent shot and I regard your decision to leave the pavement as it really complements both the historic and architectural aspect of the capture.
Reds are lovely (again!).

I like the clarity of the shot, Ebbe, and the strong colours of the door and guard posts. Nicely framed with all the patterns on the ground. Well done.

Beautiful combination of colours in nice light here, Ebbe. The architectural details, including the mosaic tiling, is very interesting and attractive. As far as composition is concerned, I think I'd prefer the soldier to be a little closer to the camera.

As usual, clear, shapes, frames. Complete composition. Informative

Very expressive, grafik. I like the lines on this shot.

Perfect in the colour - light and contrast, and excellent sharp. splendid composition, there is not so much to say, I cant find anything wrong.
